Congratulations to Jean De Pomereu

Congratulations to Jean De Pomereu from the Centre for Geography, Environment and Society for successfully defending his Doctor of Philosophy in Geography in an oral examination on 29 July 2015. 

The title of Jean's thesis was ‘The Exploration of Indlandsis: A Cultural and Scientific History of Ice Sheets to 1970’. The PhD was funded by a Collaborative Doctoral Award between the University of Exeter and the Royal Geographical Society, London.

His supervisor was Dr Simon Naylor, formerly of Geography at the Penryn Campus and now at the University of Glasgow. Dr Catherine Leyshon was acting director of studies and Dr James Ryan was the internal examiner (both from the Centre for Geography, Environment and Society at the Penryn Campus). The external examiner was Professor Klaus Dodds of the Department of Geography, Royal Holloway University of London.
