Programmes in the Centre

David Morgan

Student life at the Penryn Campus was amazing. A perfect balance between studying and getting outside. I took up walking and sailing both of which I still do today.

People have often asked me whether my Masters helped me get my first job, and I have no doubt it did. The extensive range of knowledge and skills which I gained across my undergraduate and postgraduate degrees has proved vital to my progression in my career.

David Morgan, Alumnus of BSc Geography with Environmental Management and MSc Climate Change and Risk Management

First role on graduation: Project Officer, Clear about Carbon, Cornwall Development Company
Current role: Senior Commercial Services Specialist, Cornwall Council

Field courses

Field work forms an integral part of our undergraduate degree programme

To me, this location is like a ‘natural laboratory’: forests, hills, sea-coast, mines and different ‘mysterious’ weather pattern will make anyone think about climate change and sustainability. Innovations in enterprising, eco-friendly models, technologies and individual’s knowledge, attitude and behaviour to the environment are the most important ethics of this university. The involvement of Environment and Sustainability Institute in collaborative research and teaching is an excellent dimension for the University.
