Module outline|
Climate change is being driven by elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations. This module focuses on the contemporary carbon cycle and the influence that anthropogenic activity is having upon it. The principle aim of the course is to describe in detail the mechanisms underlying the ocean, atmospheric and land-surface components of the carbon cycle and how they are responding to man-made emissions of greenhouse gasses.
