GLTRG of the RGS-IBG

Ecotourism in Sri Lanka and mass urban tourism in Venice
Welcome to the web site of the Geography of Leisure and Tourism Research Group, a branch of the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers).

The GLTRG is one of the newest research groups of the RGS-IBG.  It was formally established in 2000 but it stems from the activities of an RGS-IBG Limited Life Working Party on the Geography of British Tourism which ran from April 1998 to April 2000.

The aim of the GLTRG is to advance and promote geographical research and knowledge into leisure and tourism.  If you are interested in joining the group, please click here for further details.
