Energy Policy Group

EPG Funding and Sponsorship

Research Funding

The Energy Policy Group is grateful for the support it has received from Economic and Social Research Council and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council for a range of our research work – see research themes for details.

In the past, EPG has been sponsored by SSE. This included an agreement for support of the Falmouth Energy Week; funding a part-time research post; critical friend exercises; organization of some topical meetings at the Reform Club and occasional pieces of analytical work – for example, on the implications of the EU Framework Directive on Transmission Charging Rules.  The EPG found this relationship to be very positive – mutual learning has occurred and complete independence of views and actions is respected on both sides.

EPG carries out consultancy on a wide range of energy policy issues, for organisations such as Ofgem, Scotia Gas Networks, The Consumer Association and various NGOs.
