Professor Stephen Frankel

Professor Stephen Frankel's academic background is primarily in international and UK public health, epidemiology and anthropology, and he has published extensively in these fields. In addition to his academic contributions he has worked with the UK Department of Health, particularly in establishing the NHS R&D Programme, and with the World Health Organisation on community health policy.

He has also done extensive work in the community energy field internationally and in the UK.

He is a member of the DECC Community Energy Contact Group, serves as a Board member on the Cornwall and Isles of Scilly Local Nature Partnership, sits on the Smart Cornwall Steering group, is Chair of WREN (the Wadebridge Renewable Energy Network, www.wren.uk.com) and otherwise breeds rare breed stock in North Cornwall.
