I am a Research Associate in the University of Exeter’s Environmental and Sustainability Institute (ESI), currently working as part of a collaborative team on Landscape Futures and the Challenge of Change (AHRC/NERC Landscape Decisions Impact and Engagement Grant) under the supervision of Professor Caitlin DeSilvey (project Principal Investigator).

MSc Sustainable Development (University of Exeter)

MSc History of Art, Theory and Display (The University of Edinburgh)

MA History of Art (The University of Edinburgh)

My previous research includes ‘Towards a Sustainable Cornwall: State of the Doughnut’ (October 2020), led by Dr Rachel Turner in the ESI, which used Kate Raworth’s ‘doughnut economics’ concept to identify appropriate indicators for tracking progress of sustainable development challenges within Cornwall, and their integration in planning and decision-making. This work helped underpin Cornwall Council's vision for Cornwall, Gyllyn Warbath, Together We Can: The Cornwall Plan 2020-2050. I was also involved in a follow-on project, ‘The Doughnut We Want’ (also led by Dr Rachel Turner), that aimed to 'downscale' the doughnut approach, identify social and spatial inequalities across the region and conducting further qualitative research to identify local priorities and synergies with Cornwall’s wider vision.

Research interests
