Overview

I have recently completed an ESRC funded PhD at the University of Exeter, exploring the legal geographies of immigration law. Using ethnographies of tribunal hearings and interviews with their key actors, I examined the impact of space and technology on access to justice in immigration bail hearings. For more information, visit the project website.

I am also a Senior Researcher at Public Law Project, where my work focuses on immigration, legal aid and related access to justice issues, as well as the role of digitalisation in the justice system.

PhD title: Legal Geographies of Immigration Bail: Space, Technology & Remote Hearings.

Broad research specialisms:

My work is situated in the fields of legal geography and socio-legal studies. In particular, I am interested in legal and geographical imaginations of space, access to justice and courtwatching methodologies.
