Overview

I am a physical geographer that simulates Earth surface processes. Specifically, I am interested in peatland development and use numerical models to replicate fluxes of energy, water and carbon from these ecosystems.

I am a modeller in the TroPeaCC project, and will develop the land component of the UK Earth System Model to make future projections of the fate of tropical peatlands under climate change and their role in the global carbon cycle.

Broad Research Specialisms

Peatlands, methane, landscape evolution

Qualifications

PhD, University of Leeds, 2014

Msc, University of Twente, 2005

Bsc, Cornell University, 199
