Overview

 A specialist in providing sustained technical support often in remote locations and in austere conditions. Mike draws on years of military experience as an avionics technician, and whether operating in the jungle, Artic or on shipborne operations Mike has delivered capability on the most complex of equipment to ensure in-mission effect.

A well rounded leader and mentor demonstrated both in his primary roles and also in the recreational pursuits where he excels as an outdoor instructor in skiing, kayaking and game fishing.

Mike has also enjoyed a successful business career managing a multi million pound production facility where he realised strong growth against competing commercial constraints.

Future projects harness Mike’s passion for remotely piloted systems and particularly small UAV in providing new and innovative ways of capturing and transmitting data for scientific research.

An energetic and enthusiastic team member always seeking adventure and a challenge, he is thriving in his current role with the Ocean and Atmospherics group of Earth System Science.
