Overview
My research seeks to provide an understanding for regional development in the periphery, both in academia and amongst policy makers. This regional context explores the rationale for spatially blind policy making in the UK and how this has affected development trajectories. I'm also exploring potential solutions and policy mechanisms that could promote a resilient local economy and build sustainable economic growth through the better management of and investment in natural capital.
My studentship is funded my Cornwall Council and I work closely with the strategy team there.
