Dr Sasha Kosanic
PhD student

I finished my undergraduate studies in Geography at the University of Zagreb (Croatia). After that I competed at the disabled alpine skiing European and World cup Championships, and was a member of the Paralympic team. Whilst I was competing I became interested in mountain regions, hill-slope processes, environmental change and protection. In the meantime I did my masters at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia). My master’s thesis was dedicated to studying the bordering area between Croatia and Slovenia. This is the mountain region Dinarides which is mainly karst area and is very environmentally vulnerable.
