Profile

Inga Boie holds a diploma degree (Dipl. Geoecol.) in Geoecology from the Karlsruhe institute of Technology (KIT) in Karlsruhe, Germany (2009). She specialized in resource management, environmental analytics and social- and environmental impact assessment with a focus on developing countries. 

Since 2010 she works as scientific researcher at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI (Karlsruhe) in the Competence Center Energy Policy and Energy Markets. Her current major research topics comprise sustainable promotion strategies for renewable energy technologies in developing and transition countries, namely in the North African region, and strategies for industrial development through local manufacturing of renewable energy components.

Since 2014, Inga is a postgraduate research student at the University of Exeter, College of Life and Environmental Sciences. Her research focuses on the impact of non-economic barriers and the regulatory environment on the market diffusion of wind and solar technologies.
