I completed a four-year undergraduate degree in Science in Trinity College, Dublin with a two-year moderatorship in Botany and my final dissertation looked at invasive aquatic plants in Ireland. I then went on to take part in the Biodiversity and Conservation MSc in Trinity College and completed a dissertation on the environmental impact of recent land use changes in central Kenya with field work carried out at Lake Baringo.

Broad research interests:

My broad research interests include: climate change, ecology, botany, human-wildlife conflict, ecological management and conservational planning, landscape evolution and evolutionary biology.
