Of all degree programmes, Geography is alone in combining a detailed scientific and social understanding of the environment we live in. In addition, Geography graduates are sought after in a wide range of industries. However, it's not enough to have sat in a lecture theatre for three years! That's why we have specifically developed our degree programmes to ensure students get maximum exposure to the latest geographical software, get hands-on experience in the field and have the opportunity to carry out a work placement - all things that employers increasingly demand.

Professor Catherine Leyshon, Associate Professor of Historical and Cultural Geography
