Money matters
The University’s Undergraduate Study Money matters website has a wealth of information on all things financial, including grants, loans and tuition fees, and specific information for you whether you're from the UK, EU, Channel Islands or an International student.
For my dissertation topic, I knew that I wanted to do something unusual, exciting and enjoyable. After talking at length with my tutors, I embarked on a month-long adventure in South Africa. I was able to apply for the Dissertation Award, set up for students doing dissertation research abroad which I won, receiving a financial award to helping towards the costs of the trip. As well as the academic benefits of now writing a dissertation based on something that I enjoy, and being able to apply my degree to real life issues and work, the experience also benefited me personally and expanded my horizons greatly.
