About me:
I am a feminist political geographer whose work is grounded in interdisciplinary approaches to reproductive justice in Latin America. My research has examined the intersections of borders, mobility, and violence, with most of my fieldwork and collaborations based in Latin America. My recent major project, funded by the Wellcome Trust and the ESRC, investigated abortion im/mobilities across Latin America. I am now developing new research on reproductive justice and chemical pollution.
I also lead a range of engaged and creative initiatives beyond traditional academic work, serving as Principal Investigator on projects including comics, a database, a documentary, and podcasts. These projects are listed under the 'Professional Activities' tab.
NEW BOOKS:
My monograph Magic Misoprostol: Reproductive Justice and Abortion Liberation was published open access by Bristol University Press in 2025 so the whole book is free to read here.
My co-edited Handbook of Feminist Political Geography was published by De Gruyter in 2025. It includes 47 chapters that span some of the rich and exciting work in the sub-discipline.
Broad Research Specialisms:
- Reproductive justice, primarily abortion access in Latin America
- Borders and border violence
- Feminist political geography
- The politics of representation
