I have a broad interest in ecosystem functioning and the carbon cycle. In my current position, I work on greenhouse gas (GHG) fluxes across different tropical ecosystems. My main goal is to understand the sources and drivers of emissions to improve how pristine ecosystems are represented in models.
Currently I am a post-doctoral research fellow in the NSF-NERC project entitled Spatial and temporal trade-offs in CO2 and CH4 emissions in tropical wetlands. At University of Exeter I was also a post-doctoral reaserach associate in the ECR funded project Tropical peatlands and the carbon cycle (TroPeaCC).
I completed my PhD in plant biology at the University of Campinas in 2019. During my PhD, I developed my project within the NERC funded project Causes and consequences of tree mortality in the Amazon.
