Geography

About me:

I am a PhD student funded by the Natural Environment Research Council GW4+ Doctoral Training Partnership. My project is in collaboration with the Met Office, and is entitled 'Keeping above the waves? The response of coastal freshwater peatlands to sea-level rise'. My supervisory team includes Dr Tom Roland and Prof Dan Charman at Exeter, as well as Dr Matt Palmer at the Met Office, Dr Alice Milner at Royal Holloway, and Prof Andy Baird and Dr Natasha Barlow at the University of Leeds.

My interests tend to be broad and interdisciplinary. I am keen on learning more about (palaeo)ecology, peatlands, environmental change, science-policy, sea-level change, Python, multiproxy work, GIS, geochemistry, stats, use of models, and science communication.

Previously, I studied at Royal Holloway, University of London for both my BSc in Geography and MSc in Quaternary Science. While at Royal Holloway I received several academic prizes, as well as two Masters scholarships.
