I am a geographer with a keen interest in integrating nature based solutions into climate mitigation strategy, with a particular focus on the role of sediments and soils as carbon sinks. My main focus is on peatlands and fjords as carbon sinks in Patagonia, with a focus on the effects of a changing climate and environment with human activity. While I am focused on natural solutions, I find it important to integrate human livelihood as a factor into my research as many live off of the land and water in Patagonia, and we must include them in our studies.
