Steve Guilbert is a geographer and environmental social scientists with a longstanding interest in integrated and co-produced approaches to sustainability and environmental management who has operated at the interface of environmental research, policy, and practice for the past 20 years. Over this period, he has worked within academia, central government, local government, as well as the not-for-profit and consultancy sectors.
He is an agile generalist with a broad range of research, knowledge exchange, and impact skills. He has considerable experience of employing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies and has produced a diverse range of outputs for various academic, policy, and practice audiences. Drawing on his work with the ACCESS project and a recently completed Research Fellowship at Defra, he is currently interested in exploring the opportunities and challenges associated with working in research and impact roles within the emerging space between science and policy.
