Sylvia Hayes

About me:

Currently, I am a Research Fellow in the Centre for Climate Communication and Data Science, focusing on the communication of climate change across digital and visual forms of communication. My research interests are climate change communication, social media, visual imagery, photography/photojournalism, and digital media.

My ESRC-funded PhD used a qualitative ethnographic approach to understand the way that images are used and reproduced in specialist online climate change news sites, working closely with award-winning digital climate news organisation Carbon Brief and am grateful for their support in my reserach.
