Physical Geography
I am a Physical Geography PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Sitch, Prof. Pierre Friedlingstein, and Dr Michael O’Sullivan, working on the Schmidt Sciences-funded CALIPSO project, which aims to improve the representation of carbon loss processes in plants, soils, and oceans within Earth system models.
Within CALIPSO, my research focuses on improving the representation of fire disturbance in land surface and Earth system models. So far, I have been working on assessing the impact of prescribed burned area simulations on carbon cycle estimates, using satellite-derived burned area products.
