About me:

I am a second year PhD student exploring visions for the future of farming in England. Funded by the ESRC’s South West Doctoral Training Partnership (SWDTP), my project combines my interests in climate change, agriculture, and photography. In spring 2025, I plan to cycle the length of England to meet with women in farming communities across varied geographic and farming contexts. My research aims to diversify visions for the future of farming by engaging people whose voices are often overlooked in both research and policymaking contexts. The Farming Futures Cycle Tour will start in mid-April at Land’s End and (all going well) finish in early July at the Scottish border near Carlisle.

I am lucky to be supported by a fantastic supervisory team: Saffron O’Neill (University of Exeter), Angela Cassidy (University of Exeter), and Julie Barnett (University of Bath).
