Overview

I am a PhD student at the University of Exeter, in the Department of Geography (Physical). My interests and role in the department are mainly focused on the implications of biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) performed by microbes in the roots of native nodulating legume trees on plant performance and traits. My interests also involve the contributions of BNF to terrestrial ecosystems used for agriculture, especially in relation to carbon storage and soil productivity.

Environmental Microbiology, Ecophysiology, Carbon Dinamycs, Climate Change, Nature-Based Solutions.

Qualifications

2017 - 2023

Teacher of Basic, Technical and Technological Education (Subject: Biology) at the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte - Campus Ipanguaçu.

2015 - 2016

Master's in Ecology at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. Supervised by Renata de Fátima Panosso and José Luiz Attayde. Thesis: Unraveling knowledge gaps about cyanobacterial blooms and proposing an alternative for lake restoration.

2010 - 2014

Bachelor in Biological Sciences at Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte with an exchange period at Lund University. Supervised by Renata de Fátima Panosso and Lars-Anders Hansson. Thesis: Responses of phytoplankton and bacterioplankton to allochthonous carbon input in northern European lakes in a climate change scenario.
